Thom has spent 30 years in the Construction Industry, after earning his masters degree from Texas A&M in 1978. Early in his career, Thom joined a high-rise building team in Seattle, Washington and Los Angeles, California. Later, In California, Thom was among the construction teams who were pioneering large energy producing windmills.

A resident of the Traverse City area for 21 years, Thom has been an integral part of area construction projects that includes homes, schools, churches and commercial buildings. He has also constructed several wind-energy producing windmills in the greater Traverse City area, as well as in Mackinaw and other locations in Michigan, south of Traverse City.

Becky joined her husband in the construction business in 2004, after working as an RN in Leelanau County. In addition to 101 North Park properties, she is currently managing other high profile projects, which include "Pathways of Suttons Bay." This residential development has over 100 acres of common space, which connects to the locally well-known Leelanau Trail. "Pathways" residents enjoy more than six miles of trails, and a 100-year-old barn that has been repurposed to become the community center.

John Grzelak is the construction manager for 101 North Park project in downtown Traverse City for Interlake Associates.

John brings more than 26 years of experience. He is totally committed to establishing a strong team, utilizing the latest technology to ensure that budgets and schedules are consistently maintained. John feels that the customer should be educated and well informed throughout the project’s duration. He also believes in the team approach, being proactive and good communication will build a strong relationship with the owners, subcontractors, tradesmen and laborers. John knows this will provide the highest level of customer service to all parties involved.

John's experience includes working as a project manager, project superintendent, scheduler, project engineer, estimator, residential builder, and journeyman carpenter.

The renowned Nudell Architect team created the original design for the five story 101 North Park building in 2001. The exterior design and structure elements will continue to be overseen by the Nudell team, who will work in collaboration with local architect, Michael Fitzhugh.

Founded in 1976, J. Howard Nudell Architects, Inc., specializes in the design of automobile dealerships and other retail oriented facilities. This full-service architectural firm has offices in Michigan, Florida and California, and serves national clients around the globe.

Comitted to sustainability through the designs and services they provide, 101 North Park is designed for energy efficiency and will be sensitive to the environment. Nudell Architects' associates are LEED accredited professionals. The resulting projects prove to be very cost effective on a building life cycle basis.

Michael Fitzhugh Architect-PLC

Michael Fitzhugh will be designing the interior spaces of 101 North Park, customizing each property to fit the needs of the individual 101 North Park residents and businesses. He will work closely with each client to apply unique perspectives to this one-of-a-kind opportunity.

Michael Fitzhugh is a native of Northern Michigan and received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Utah Graduate School. Michael earned his masters degree while interning at the Salt Lake City architecture firm FFKR.

Michael returned to Traverse City to meet the unique challenges of Northern Michigan. He makes it his goal to incorporate concepts of passive solar design and energy efficiency into his designs. Michael enjoys utilizing green, sustainable products and methods whenever possible.

Michael Fitzhugh is a licensed Architect in both California and Michigan and is NCARB certified.
